What we do with your details

Who we are
SkyeTide is a project of Colletta & Co, a trading name of One Eye Open, based on the Isle of Skye. Colletta & Co is the data controller for the details you give us here. Contact: hello@skyetide.org.
What we collect
Only what you type into the signup form: your name, email address, where you are based (optional), the ways you might like to help (optional) and a note (optional). Alongside the submission we record the time it was sent, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which help us spot abuse.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person, not a script, is submitting it. Turnstile processes some technical information about your browser to do that; we never see it.
Why, and on what basis
To build the founding-steward list and get in touch with you about SkyeTide before and at launch. You are asking us to contact you, so we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. We do not use your details for anything else, and we do not sell or share them for marketing.
Where your details go
- An email with your submission is sent to our mailbox,
hello@skyetide.org, hosted with IONOS. - A short notification is sent to the founder's phone through Telegram so we notice new signups quickly.
- You receive one confirmation email from
hello@skyetide.org.
There is no signup database yet. Your details exist only in those messages, on systems we operate (a server hosted with IONOS, with Cloudflare in front of it) and in the mailbox above.
How long we keep them
Until we have contacted you about the founding-steward programme, and no longer than 24 months from your signup, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If SkyeTide launches with accounts, we will ask before moving anything across.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it. Email hello@skyetide.org and we will act within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Analytics
This page uses self-hosted, cookie-free analytics (Umami) that count visits without identifying you. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.
